The Lab School of Washington, an independent college preparatory school for students with learning differences, is seeking a Social Worker to work in our dynamic, arts-infused High School program, beginning in February 2018 and ending on June 8, 2018, while our current Social Worker is out on family leave.
This position is a program social worker position, and does not include a psychotherapy caseload. The social worker has the responsibility for providing social-emotional support for our high school population within the context of our school’s mental health team. The position includes opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration in a creative environment with other related service providers as well as classroom teachers. The position requires a Master’s of Social Work Degree. License to practice in Washington, DC preferred, and experience working with a high school student population required. The ideal candidate will have experience with students with learning differences as well.
