National Cathedral School announces an opening for an Assistant to the Director of Development. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant serves as a fully engaged member of the Development team and an important point of contact for alumnae and parent volunteer leaders. The Assistant provides proactive executive support for the Director of Development, including service as liaison with two Governing Board committees. The Assistant helps to coordinate the administration of the Development office, represents the Director of Development in meetings, when needed, and provides occasional supplementary event support.

Required qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of related work experience;
Professional experience in an executive support role;
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills;
An ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, senior-level executives, and trustee-level leaders;
An ability to work without supervision and to organize, prioritize, and successfully execute multiple concurrent tasks; to anticipate needs and act accordingly, and to perform with a high degree of initiative; and
An ability to consistently demonstrate superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Applicants with professional experience in development, alumni relations, or a related field are preferred.
