St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD seeks an Advancement Coordinator to begin July 1, 2018.

Position: The Advancement Coordinator (AC) is a full-time, non-exempt position that will serve as the initial point of contact for the Advancement office, fielding emails, phone calls, and other questions and relaying them to the appropriate team member.
This position works in close partnership with the Advancement Team providing operational, administrative, and logistical support for the office.
The AC will assist the Director of Development Operations by maintaining a daily log of incoming checks, drafting gift acknowledgment templates, ensuring gifts are processed and acknowledged accurately and in a timely fashion, and helping maintain and track all actions, constituent correspondence, and event related logistics, for the Advancement Office in Raiser’s Edge NXT.
The AC will also provide event management and logistics support to the Director of Parent Relations and the Director of Alumni Relations.
The AC will be responsible for tracking event registration and attendance within Raiser’s Edge NXT as well as assisting with generating invitee and other lists from the database as needed.
The AC will also provide scheduling support for the Director of Advancement and the major gift program.
The successful candidate will support the Director of the Lion’s Fund (Annual Giving) with direct mail appeals and segmentation of donor solicitation lists.
Occasional weekend and evening work is required.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in, as well as related work experience in, nonprofit accounting/finance, database management, and/or fundraising. Candidate should be detail oriented and have exceptional organizational and time management skills; high aptitude for written and verbal communication; the ability to provide excellent customer service; and an ability to maintain confidentiality. Additionally, a candidate will possess advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly excel). Prior experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar databases is preferred. Previous demonstrated event management experience is also helpful. Experience using Mac and other Apple platforms would be beneficial.
