St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School raises over $1.75 million in annual giving (The Saints Fund) from current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents and other friends. With over 5,000 solicitable alumni, our school is working to engage this constituency and to grow annual fund participation, with the help of a highly participatory volunteer base of class agents and reunion chairs. The school seeks a dynamic, highly organized and forward thinking leader for the Director of Alumni and Reunion Giving role. This person will initiate, plan, and drive all solicitation and programming for alumni giving, including reunion giving and class agent programs. This person is responsible for identification and recruitment of the alumni volunteers who partner with the Advancement Office to promote giving to the School.
As a member of the school's administrative team, the Director of Alumni and Reunion Giving reports directly to the Director of Development and will work closely with the Director of Annual Giving and Director of Alumni Engagement to streamline and unify fundraising, volunteering and engagement efforts. Using existing events, communications and alumni initiatives to creatively promote the primacy of a strong culture of philanthropy in support or annual giving. While also helping to identify and cultivate alumni at every entry point of the giving pipeline, both in regular and participatory giving and in alumni leadership support. Some travel is required to meet with alumni, as well as some evenings and weekend hours for the management of phonathons and attendance at school and alumni events.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of fundraising experience. The candidate will also have a proven record of success in volunteer management and cultivating philanthropic relationships, a high level of determination to set and exceed fundraising goals, and knowledge of best fundraising and volunteer management practices.

outstanding organizational skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written;
ability to motivate and inspire others; independent working style and outstanding work ethic;
ability to collect and analyze data that informs fundraising strategy;
ability to think flexibly and strategically to manage multiple channels of communication (mailings, phone calls, social media, etc.) and to successfully attain goals in a fast-paced environment;
collegial attitude with a sense of humor; willingness and ability to travel when needed.
Experience in an educational setting and the ability to work in a collaborative team setting where multiple viewpoints are expressed, while possessing the initiative to self-start projects using a blend of best practice and educated risk-taking is desirable.
