The Academy of the Holy Cross is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to the Principal beginning in July.
The Academy of the Holy Cross, a Catholic College preparatory school sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Cross since 1868, is dedicated to educating young women in a Christ-centered community which values diversity. The Executive Assistant to the Principal will manage the daily operations of the office, (including correspondence, meetings, events, research), and serve as the first point of contact for the Principal's office.
Maintain the Principal's calendar and schedule appointments and/or interviews
Serve as liaison between school staff and administration and parents and administration
Prepare agendas for and take minutes of Academic Council and other meetings
Conduct research and perform data collection
Prepare and edit reports in collaboration with the Principal and the Administrative Team
Plan and coordinate school events
Work on short-term and strategic projects
Perform other duties as assigned by the President and or Principal
Support the school and its leadership
Must have substantial relevant experience, ideally in a high school setting
Must exhibit a willingness to work long hours and to work independently
Must have exceptional organization and interpersonal skills, including the ability to multi-task under pressure
Must have an ability to communicate clearly and write well
Must have a talent for discerning priorities for the school and the Principal
Must maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
Must exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a general facility with technology
Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with parents, students, faculty and staff

The Academy of the Holy Cross, is a private, Catholic high school (grades 9 - 12) for young women located in Kensington, MD. The college preparatory program reflects a holistic approach to education by fostering the intellectual, physical and moral development of the students. The school is sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross and has been in continuous operation in the Archdiocese since 1868.
