Position: The job involves teaching four-year-long sections of Spanish (or a combination of Spanish and French, if appropriate), levels to be taught are dependent on experience and background. A minimum of three years teaching experience is preferable. To complete the full-time component of this position, the person will be an advisor to 8-10 students and sponsor two extracurricular activities with coaching team sports being a most sought-after attribute.
Qualifications: BA in Spanish/French or Education. General flexibility, good humor, and the ability to work effectively as a team member are also essential. About the School: Founded in 1978, St. Andrew’s is a co-educational independent day school, enrolling approximately 600 students in preschool-grade 12. The school has two campuses three miles apart. The Potomac Village Campus (preschool-grade 2) is on the grounds of St. Francis Episcopal Church and the 19-acre Postoak Campus (grades 3-12) is on Postoak Road in Potomac.
