Sidwell Friends School, a co-educational Quaker day school located in NW Washington, DC, seeks a qualified Interim Part-Time Upper School Visual Art Teacher to work with students in grades 9-12 as a leave-of-absence replacement for the entire 2019-20 school year. The successful candidate will have a solid background in Drawing, Painting, Adobe CS, Digital Art Techniques, and AP Art Curriculum. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the needs of the age group, be able to work cooperatively with a group of adults in a team setting, be comfortable in and excited about working with children from diverse backgrounds, and actively support the Quaker philosophy that underlies the School. Applicants must have a relevant college degree, and three years of teaching experience working with high school aged students.
