The Dean of Faculty collaborates with the Head of School to ensure that the teaching and curricula meet the mission of the school and that systems are in place to ensure excellence and continuous improvement. The Dean of Faculty is responsible for creating a culture among the faculty of devotion to students, loyalty to the mission of the school, and of feedback and professionalism. The Field School has a thoughtful and comprehensive teacher training program for recent college graduates, and the Dean of Faculty plays an integral role in recruiting, hiring and supporting these teachers through the New Teacher Program and overseeing the New Teacher Program Coordinators. The Dean of Faculty helps sustain and promote the strength of the school through active participation and leadership on the Senior Leadership Team.
