Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Advancement Associate to join the School Advancement team. This position performs various and high-level administrative work supporting the Assistant Head of School for School Advancement. Additionally, serves as office manager for the School Advancement department and provides administrative support for the Director of Development. The Advancement Associate will stay well informed on the Assistant Head’s priorities, deadlines, and advancement operations.
This position requires a high degree of confidentiality, strong organizational skills, independent judgment, the ability to multi-task in an active environment, and an understanding of moves management systems in order to coordinate the Assistant Head’s prospect management with Advancement staff. Incumbents will have contact with senior campus administrators, alumni, the Board of Trustees, and the Sidwell Friends donor community requiring exceptional use of verbal and written communication, tact, discretion, and judgment.
A minimum five years of administrative and/or office manager experience is required, as well as proficiency with software including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, project management software such as Asana, and PowerPoint.
