The Langley School, a PS-8 independent school in McLean, Virginia, seeks a middle school Math teacher to cover 2 consecutive parental leave replacements starting in August 2019 and continuing into the spring. The successful candidate will teach fifth-grade math in the fall and sixth-grade math in the late fall through spring. Our middle school teachers focus on the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child to create a nurturing and stimulating environment in which to learn. Faculty work collaboratively to create and implement integrated units of study as they strive to meet the needs of every child, every day.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, previous middle school teaching experience, strong background in Math, excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort with integrating technology into the curriculum, interest in collaborating with colleagues, commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, and a passion for working with children required.
