St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School has an opening for a full-time mathematics teacher on the Upper School campus for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in a mathematics related field and at least three years of teaching experience at the secondary level. Experience teaching higher-level courses as well as the desire to work collaboratively with colleagues is preferred. In teaching courses that possibly range from Algebra 1 through AP-level classes, the candidate should foster growth in the students' problem solving, analytical thinking, and mathematical communication skills. To help our students succeed in a complex and changing world, we seek a candidate who can inspire a passion for learning, an enthusiasm for athletic and artistic endeavor, a striving for excellence, a celebration of diversity, and a commitment to service. The school's mission is to pursue goodness as well as knowledge and to honor the unique value each of our members as a child of God in a caring community. Our culture promotes lifelong learning, and our faculty members have a wealth of opportunities available to them to continue expanding their knowledge of both their disciplines and the field of education. Summer study grants, a multicultural seminar for new faculty, support for graduate studies, and conferences and workshops are just a few of the ways in which we support and encourage our teachers to continue to grow and learn. Interested applicants should apply online through our website, www.sssas.org/employment.
