Landon School is an independent school for boys in grades 3–12, located on a beautiful 75-acre campus in Bethesda, Maryland. This is done through our teacher-coach-mentor model of instruction, our caring and dedicated faculty, and a robust co-curricular program. Landon School seeks to employ an Auxiliary Programs Manager. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position that will report to the Director of Auxiliary Programs. The Auxiliary Programs Manager will assist with overall operation and management of Landon Summer, Extended Day programs, facility usage, and other alternative revenue sources for the school. The Auxiliary Programs Manager will ensure that all programs provide a safe and enriching environment for participants and are consistent with the school’s mission, vision, and values. The Auxiliary Programs Manager will be detail oriented, creative, motivated, positive and flexible; exhibit integrity and discretion; and work collaboratively with colleagues. Essential duties and responsibilities: Landon Summer Camp - Support Director of Auxiliary Programs with all Landon Summer preparations.
- Manage the UltraCamp database, configure the system for registration, and produce reports as needed.
- Manage HR onboarding and payroll for seasonal employees.
- Support Director of Auxiliary Programs with website, social media campaigns and other marketing and promotion needs in consultation with the Communications Office.
- Provide high quality customer service to Landon Summer families.
- Train, educate and support staff to ensure high quality interactions with staff and campers.
- Maintain compliance with American Camp Association accreditation standards and state and county licensing.
Extended Day Programs - Develop and execute an innovative, revenue generating enrichment program that include:
- After school activities
- Weekend/evening student classes
- Adult workshops
- Recruit Landon School faculty and staff to contribute their time and talents to the after school enrichment program.
- Manage the UltraCamp database and configure the system for after school enrichment registration.
- Evaluate and enhance the existing before and after care programs.
- Provide high quality customer service to Extended Day families.
- Train, educate and support staff to ensure high quality student interactions.
Facility Usage - Work closely with various school departments to coordinate facility usage.
- Develop a standardized process for Auxiliary Program facility use requests and approvals.
- Manage multiple calendars to determine viability of new facility use requests.
Other - Support and manage private music lesson program and school tutoring.
- Support and manage faculty-led travel programs.
- Work with the Director of Auxiliary Programs and the CFO to develop and manage the Auxiliary Programs budget.
- Assist and support Director as needed.
Education and experience: - Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
- Experience in a youth development field preferably in educational/academic setting and with youth programs.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, database systems, and other technological tools.
- Experience working with budgets and financial tracking.
