Position Purpose: Proactively and creatively support execution of a successful recruitment/admissions process and marketing effort; help ensure a robust pool of strong applicants to Landon; ensure thoughtful, thorough, and welcoming communication for all Landon applicants; carefully steward Admissions Office database, partnering with others across the school; help ensure a successful enrollment and re-enrollment process for families.
Responsibilities
- Support admissions communications and marketing efforts, including documenting and reviewing key performance indicators, and writing/designing communications that will increase conversation rates.
- Develop and execute outbound communications, deploy email and other campaigns of varying frequency and mechanisms in collaboration with the Director of Admissions to build admissions pipeline.
- Cultivate leads including phone and email outreach.
- Coordinate interviews and campus visits for all prospective families, following up in timely way to all inquiries with service-oriented mindset.
- Process all requests for Admissions information in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate statistical information and generate weekly and monthly reports.
- Manage and maintain the Admissions database with accuracy and timeliness; troubleshoot database issues with families and be lead strategist on how database is used to increase applicant pool.
- Coordinate and assist with preparation, collection, and storage of all necessary paperwork from applicants as well as enrolled/matriculating families
- Coordinate and assist other Admissions staff with the planning and execution of special events (e.g., open houses, regional receptions, parent coffees, new student and parent activities, etc.), including guest lists and RSVPs.
- Professionally and warmly interact with families and visitors throughout the admissions process, serving as the first point of contact to various inquiries (in person, phone, email)
- Coordinate and maintain Admissions calendar
- Pursue professional development opportunities as appropriate to remain current with best practices
- Support School and its leadership by embracing and supporting the Landon Mission/Philosophy, core values, and all School policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or related work experience required
- Professional and personable self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to work independently
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, faculty, colleagues, and administrators
- High level of technological facility, and familiarity/success with school data base software such as Ravenna and Blackbaud and other technologies such as MS Office suite
- Proficient, analytical, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and creative
- Driven, solutions-oriented, industrious, accountable, and passionate about achieving results
- High degree of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness
- Professional and engaging demeanor and presentation
- Familiarity with independent school operations preferred
