Stone Ridge is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to begin work ASAP.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The Digital Communications Manager will be responsible for:
- writing, producing, and managing content for the integrated online presence on website and social media platforms;
- managing internal email communications;
- capturing video/photo content as needed (basic comfort in using iPhone camera);
- producing basic graphic design needs; (comfortable using Canva)
- collaborating with colleagues, especially with members of the Admissions, Advancement, Arts and Athletic teams;
- managing advertising schedule and budget and establishing relationships with advertising mediums.
This individual will maintain the Finalsite website management tool and, in that capacity, will be responsible for the following functions:
- Adding/removing/editing pages on the external and internal website
- Supporting faculty, parents and the community on use of the website tool
- Maintaining current photos, videos, and text on the website
- Coordinating major changes and updates with external vendors (Finalsite and Veracross)
- Working with Veracross and internal staff to support user needs
Requirements/qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Digital Design, Marketing/Communications or a related field and a minimum of three years of Marketing/Communications experience.
- Strong written, editorial, and oral communication skills and a demonstrated track record for collaboration, organization and efficiency.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Thorough and precise work habits with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to mission-driven organizations.
- A demonstrated ability to authentically capture and amplify a wide range of voices and embody a commitment to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion
- A nuanced understanding of social media best practices and a keen eye for developing cultural trends.
Experience in Catholic and/or independent schools is preferred but not required. This position is a 12-month position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
