Green Acres School is seeking a dedicated long-term substitute Spanish teacher to teach students in grades 6–8 from about mid-September through the beginning of November 2022. The immersive approach to teaching languages that we embrace, based on research in language development, is highly communicative. Teachers conduct classes mostly in Spanish, balancing work in the Savvas?Realidades?textbooks with authentic conversations, listening and speaking exercises, skits, written stories, and other engaging activities to get students?learning new skills, vocabulary, and concepts, and honing their ability to genuinely use the language through receptive and generative practice.
