St. Andrew’s next Director of DEB will be a caring, visionary educator with a trueenjoyment for working with children as well as with their teachers and families.They will be a highly organized leader who communicates clearly and collaborates well. They will teach two classes in the Middle or Upper School. The Director of DEB leads the Diversity Leadership Team, composed of the Lower, Middle, and Upper School Diversity Coordinators. The Director of DEB will report to the Director of Professional Growth and Studies, is a member of the Academic Team and Department Heads, and works closely with the Head of School and other senior administrators.
Qualifications: A minimum of five years working in the field as a diversity practitioner. Previous teaching experience is required. This exciting opportunity will require a person who can work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents and who can thrive in a diverse community of respect and belonging. Applicants should be skilled in the integration of technology as a tool to advance student learning.
