Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses located in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD, seeks a part-time Mathematics teacher to start in the 2023-2024 school year for its Upper School division.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher of mathematics in a high school setting, and should be prepared to teach all levels of high school mathematics and also fulfill other general faculty duties. The successful candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and to establish meaningful relationships with students from diverse backgrounds in grades 9-12.
The most desirable candidates will also be able to demonstrate proficiency using digital and online platforms for remote instruction as well as proven effectiveness as a classroom teacher in a brick-and-mortar setting.
Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree in Mathematics or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred).
Teaching positions at Sidwell Friends School are campus-based; therefore, this position requires teaching in person. This position begins in August 2023.
