Founded in 1952, Norwood School is a coeducational, independent day school with approximately 450 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The School sits on 38 beautiful and expansive acres in Bethesda, Maryland, less than six miles from Washington, D.C. Norwood’s summer camp program (Summer at Norwood) is looking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as camp nurse for our robust program serving campers ages 3.5 to 14 from June 20-June 30 and July 31-August 18, 2023.  Dates are flexible and job sharing is possible.  This position may require limited pre and post camp session hours.  This position qualifies for a reduced tuition benefit for staff children. 

Ideal candidates will possess the follow qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Maryland
• Current CPR Certification
• Current AED Certification
• Experience working with children.

Duties will include:

• Administering medications to campers/staff in accordance with MDH regulations for youth camps and maintaining appropriate records
• Maintaining daily health visit/treatment log
• Managing camper health information records
• Providing medical supervision, support, and services for campers and staff
• Communicating with camp families as necessary regarding camper health visits and/or health forms
• Use of online registration system to access camper records
• Working under the guidance of Summer at Norwood’s Health Supervisor to ensure that the camp medical program meets all requirements of the Maryland Department of Health (MDH)
• Communicating with the Summer at Norwood Director Team to ensure a healthy and smooth program
