Washington School for Girls seeks a part-time contracted Spanish teacher to provide language instruction to elementary and middle school classes. 

Rate: $30/hour

Hours:15-20 weekly

Instructional Responsibilities:

Planning and teaching curriculum to beginning/elementary Spanish 1 and 2 classes in a developmentally appropriate manner, with an emphasis on differentiating instruction and using assessments effectively.

• Create an inclusive classroom environment through supportive exchanges with students and clear expectations for community behavior.
• Use a broad range of instructional modalities to teach the Spanish language.
• Use a broad range of technology tools to bring Spanish instruction to life.
• Work and communicate effectively with parents and staff members.
• Articulate and model the school’s mission and core values.
• Support and follow school policies
• Be a positive and contributing member of the professional community

The Washington School for Girls is an all-scholarship independent Catholic School serving students in grades 3-8. Our students come from primarily from DC's Wards 7 and 8. By offering a comprehensive academic program in a supportive environment, we help our students to become confident, competent, and courageous young women. Our Mission is to close the educational gap and broaden the educational opportunities for girls from economically disadvantaged communities in grades 3-8.
