Maret School is currently seeking per diem substitute teachers for its Lower School (K-4), Middle School (5-8), and Upper School (9-12) divisions. Substitutes follow lesson plans for classes and provide classroom management, supervision and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Other assignments, including lunch and recess duties are a regular part of a substitute’s role. Substitute teachers work with the department chairs, division directors, and other faculty to ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

The successful candidate will have:

• a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity 
• flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and program
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• the ability to maintain confidential information
• knowledge of instructional strategies and classroom technology (preferred)
• a bachelor’s degree (preferred)
