Maret School is currently seeking per diem substitute teachers for its Lower School (K-4), Middle School (5-8), and Upper School (9-12) divisions. Substitutes follow lesson plans for classes and provide classroom management, supervision and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Other assignments, including lunch and recess duties are a regular part of a substitute’s role. Substitute teachers work with the department chairs, division directors, and other faculty to ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
The successful candidate will have:
a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity
flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and program
excellent verbal and written communication skills
the ability to maintain confidential information
knowledge of instructional strategies and classroom technology (preferred)
a bachelor’s degree (preferred)
