The Lab School of Washington seeks a full or part-time world languages teacher to teach Spanish and ASL to middle school students (grades 5-8) with language-based learning differences. The ideal candidate has experience teaching ASL or Spanish and is comfortable teaching entry-level skills in both areas. Lab would consider a candidate experienced in one of these two areas who is willing to learn the skills necessary in the other discipline. Essential functions of this job include modeling and teaching accurate hand shapes using the five parameters of ASL and conversational Spanish, including vocabulary, grammar, and Latinx culture, and an ability to effectively exchange and impart information with and to students.
