Middle School 6th Grade English/Language Arts Teacher - beginning August 2024
The Lab School of Washington, an independent school in Washington, DC for students with language-based learning differences, is seeking a full-time 6th grade English/Language Arts Teacher in its Middle School beginning in late August 2024. The ideal candidate should have: 3-5 years of teaching experience experience teaching students with language-based learning differences training in the Orton-Gillingham approach and experience with Science of Reading aligned programs knowledge of reading development and adolescent literature experience teaching the writing process. Candidates must have enthusiasm, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in collaboration with a teaching team
