St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD, seeks a Spanish teacher for middle school students to begin December 9, 2024. This full-time position involves teaching 5 sections of 6th and 7th grade Spanish, advising a group of 12 students, and supporting the extracurricular life of the school (coaching team sports being a key component). Knowledge of teaching with a student-centered holistic focus on language proficiency development in the three modes of communication using rubrics and differentiated instruction to guide individual student growth.
Qualifications: BA in Spanish, Education, or a similar field required. Native speaking of Spanish and previous teaching experience is preferred. This exciting opportunity will require a faculty member who can work collaboratively with fellow teachers and administrators and who can thrive in a diverse community of respect and belonging. Applicants should be skilled in the integration of technology as a tool to advance student learning.
