This philosophy supports our belief that young children are filled with curiosity and capacity. Our early childhood program provides a warm, nurturing environment where children’s ideas and abilities are developed through engaging, authentic learning experiences. An environment rich in play, discovery, research, and collaboration promotes high-level thinking skills, problem-solving capabilities, enhanced language development, and empathy. With an average class size of 13 students, our highly trained teachers are attuned to each child’s growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a co-teacher to create a classroom environment consistent with the principles of the Reggio Emilia philosophy;
Observe and document the process of learning unfolding in the classroom;
Collaborate with specialists and resource teams who support the classroom;
Support the creation of a weekly newsletter that tells the story of the learning for families;
Meet weekly with the whole Grace faculty;
Attend special school events as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a specialty area of early childhood education
Proficiency in collaboration and communication
Preferred candidates will have:
At least two years of experience working with young children
Familiarity with the Reggio-Emilia philosophy and pedagogy
An open-hearted view of children as growing and changing
A demonstrated interest in promoting equity and inclusion in a diverse school community
