Maret School is seeking a skilled, hands-on maintenance engineer to join our facilities team. We are seeking an engineer who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in supporting a busy school community. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, team-oriented, and willing to assist with a wide variety of campus needs while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment including boilers, pumps, VRF systems, VAV systems, RTUs, AHUs, and FCUs
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests with a customer-service mindset
• Assist with campus events, furniture moves, and other operational needs as assigned
• Work collaboratively with facilities staff and outside vendors to support school operations

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• HVAC trade experience preferred
• Familiarity with BAS systems, work order systems, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically active environments
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and move throughout campus for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
