Maret School is seeking a skilled, hands-on maintenance engineer to join our facilities team. We are seeking an engineer who takes ownership of their work, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in supporting a busy school community. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, team-oriented, and willing to assist with a wide variety of campus needs while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment including boilers, pumps, VRF systems, VAV systems, RTUs, AHUs, and FCUs
Respond to work orders and maintenance requests with a customer-service mindset
Assist with campus events, furniture moves, and other operational needs as assigned
Work collaboratively with facilities staff and outside vendors to support school operations
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
HVAC trade experience preferred
Familiarity with BAS systems, work order systems, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically active environments
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and move throughout campus for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime when needed
